I literally could not be any more excited for this. I only wish it was the XFL and not the AFL.
I have long wished for a 4th major professional sports team in Pittsburgh, however it doesn't look like the NBA has any faith in the Steel City to franchise a basketball team. So today I turn to the Arena Football League and the Pittsburgh Power to further my Pittsburgh sports pride.
The Power have enjoyed an excellent season at 8-3 and sit in second place behind the 9-1 Cleveland Gladiators. Cleveland's one loss happened last week to my beloved Power (lol Cleveland can't even get undefeated right) in a decisive 48-34 game.
This week we are at home against the lowly 2-8 New Orleans VooDoo. This is a must-win game since we destroyed the VooDoo last time at home in a 56-14 massacre. I can only hope that the first Power game I watch live turns a similar result. If any of you would also like to tune in the game is televised on ESPN3 at 5:00 P.M.
