Hard to focus on baseball bets with soccer fever in full swing, but I think this one's a winner.
4:10pm | 961 | San Francisco Giants (p) | -1.5 (+114) | O 8 (-105) | -140 | |||
962 | Arizona Diamondbacks | +1.5 (-132) | U 8 (-115) | +128 |
The San Francisco Giants have been one of the best teams in baseball this year, however they suffered through a six game losing streak until beating Arizona 6-4 last night. This afternoon they will be throwing top pitcher Madison Bumgarner, while the Diamondbacks will be countering with Mike Bolsinger.
The fact that Bumgarner is pitching alone makes this an enticing pick in the Giants favor. The lefty is 8-4 with a 2.85 ERA and is striking out over a batter an inning. In 15 career games against the D'backs he is 4-4 with a 2.71 ERA.
Bolsinger has a 1-2 record with a 5.70 ERA in 30 innings this season. He hasn't faced the Giants this season and has only allowed less than three runs in one of his five starts.
Coming off the losing streak I'm sure the Giants aren't looking to start a new one so quickly. With Bumgarner on the mound against an Arizona team that is just 14-28 at home, this looks like a win for San Francisco.
Bet: San Francisco -1.5 (+114)
