Hmmm what a fitting headline. It has been almost four years and the only that would change is the uniform and the word "not" in between "is" and "adjusting".
While the Pirates were in the midst of one of those classic "God is not on our side today" frustrating losses, Manny Machado was busy proving to us for the second time this weekend that he is in fact a prissy, self-absorbed douchebag. Roll the tape:
You could see the childish training-wheels turning in Machado's nancy little mind thinking, "How dare these peasants throw an inside fastball! Let's see how close I can throw this bat to their precious 3rd baseman. Hell maybe I can even make it seem like I'm just swinging at the next pitch. Brilliant!"
Now I am certainly no Oakland A's fan and I had nothing against the Orioles until this weekend. But I do care a great deal about the integrity of baseball, so these atrocious actions sent me on a Twitter vengeance the likes I haven't even gone on in real life in quite some time. In fact I was all like:
Here are a few of the things I had to say about Baby Manny:
You think Manny Machado would be flapping his jaw and throwing bats if it was Balfour on the mound? https://t.co/LRcnNzoFpw via @vineapp

Manny Machado picks up bruised apples and whispers "Who did this to you?"

There were more gems but I think you get the point. I haven't even talked about the fact that he "accidentally" hit A's catcher Derek Norris with his swing a couple times during a previous at-bat and effectively knocked him out of the game. Don't know if it was intentional or not, but it all just piles onto the bullshit.
Baby Manny came out with a super sincere apology that definitely didn't sound like it was scripted by management or anything today, but I think it's a little to late for that. No doubt a suspension will be handed down and I won't be satisfied with anything less than 10 games. He deserves it and he needs to be taught a lesson.
So congrats Manny Machado, you have now joined Ryan Braun, Carlos Gomez, and Alex Rodriguez on my Mt. Rushmore of most hated players in baseball. Wear it proud Baby Manny, hopefully you won't be so cranky once you remove the stick from your ass.
