Kinda feel bad for the guy, but then I remember the amount of times Ben has been put on his ass thanks to Mike Adams.
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette - Three Hazelwood men were found not guilty this afternoon of stabbing and attempted robbery last summer involving Steelers offensive lineman Mike Adams.
The jury of seven men and five women deliberated for five hours today before returning their verdict shortly after 4:30 p.m. before Common Pleas Judge Anthony M. Mariani.
Dquay Means, Jerrell Whitlock and Michael Paranay were accused of attempting to steal Mr. Adams' Ford pickup truck about 3 a.m. June 1 on the South Side. Mr Adams was stabbed in the altercation.
The defense argued the three men, who have been in custody since their June arrests, were involved in a fight with Mr. Adams after he ran into Mr. Paranay, causing him to drop his food.
While Mr. Paranay was found not guilty of all charges against him, Mr. Whitlock was found guilty of flight to avoid prosecution and Mr. Means was found guilty of escape after running from detectives trying to question him.
Mr. Adams has not been in the courtroom since he testified last Wednesday.
Now I am not a law student, nor do I watch Law & Order. But I'm have been sitting here looking at this verdict for about an hour now and I have no idea why these three guys were found Not Guilty. Was there not an altercation between Adams and these three men? Did he not get stabbed during this altercation? Is the jury saying a figment of Adams' imagination stabbed him? Or was it actually the ghosts of Mike Webster, Dermontti Dawson, and Alan Faneca that shanked him? Somebody really needs to explain this to me.
With the NFL Draft coming up I will take this opportunity to reminisce on when we drafted Mr. Adams, thinking he was a high-ceiling guy whose stock had dropped because of some personality issues at Ohio State. The reality is that Adams is simply not a very good lineman who continues to make it abundantly clear that we need to address the line again in this upcoming draft. I know it sucks to continually draft at the same position year after year but if we don't do something this is going to continue to happen:
